BACOLOD City — Professionals and licensure applicants still have until today, January 28, to avail themselves of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Regional Office VI Mobile Service at Jubilee Hall in Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The three-day on-the-road service, which began on January 26, is a collaborative effort of PRC Regional Office VI and the City Government of Bago, led by Mayor Marina C. Javellana-Yao, in coordination with the Office of Fourth District Representative Jeffrey Ferrer.
The initiative aims to make PRC services more accessible to professionals from the Fourth District and nearby areas across Negros Island.
PRC personnel are processing a wide range of transactions, including applications for licensure examinations, initial registration, renewal, and issuance of duplicate Professional Identification Cards (PICs), as well as state board verification.
The mobile service also accommodates requests for certifications such as board rating, passing, and good standing, along with authentication of board ratings, PICs, and certificates of registration.
On the first day of operations, at least 500 clients were served, highlighting the strong demand for PRC services in the province. A steady stream of applicants continued on the second day, with many lining up early to complete their transactions ahead of the final day.
City officials said the activity reflects the local government’s commitment to bringing essential government services closer to the people, particularly professionals and aspiring licensees who would otherwise need to travel to regional offices.
Applicants are reminded that online appointment scheduling through the PRC website at online.prc.gov.ph is required before proceeding to the venue./PN
