MANILA – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has shrugged off the decline in his trust ratings, stating that other survey firms are saying otherwise.
In an interview with the media on Tuesday night, the Chief Executive smirked when he learned that his low trust ratings were from Pulse Asia.
“Madaming ibang surveys. Let’s not base it on one,” President Marcos said. “Again, let’s look at other surveys before we… know your source. That’s a… that’s always an…Imperfect information makes you make imperfect decisions.”
He added: “The more perfect your information, the more perfect your decision will be. That is one source of information, and you have to understand where it’s actually coming from.”
President Marcos’ trust ratings remained at 32% while Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio was at 50%, according to the latest Pulse ng Bayan survey of Pulse Asia.
According to the findings of the nationwide survey conducted from May 6 to 9 among 1,200 registered voters, former President Rodrigo Duterte had a trust rating of 63%.
It indicated that those who trust the President increased in May to 32% by three percentage points from 29% in April. Those who distrust him decreased by three percentage points to 42% in May compared to 45% in April./PN
