PrimeWater-BACIWA delivers 3 million liters per day of additional water supply

BACOLOD City – PrimeWater, with its joint venture partner, Bacolod City Water District (BACIWA), delivered an additional 3 million liters per day (MLD) of water supply through the recently activated Matab-ang Water Treatment Plant in Barangay Granada here.

The activation of the Matab-ang water treatment plant will address the current demand of the city by providing 3 million liters per day, increasing to 6 MLD within the year.

The additional supply will improve the supply of approximately 5,000 households in Bacolod, particularly in Barangays 27, 28, 30, Estefania, Villlamonte, and Mandalagan.

“This project is just one of the initiatives and developments we are implementing together with our joint venture partner, BACIWA, to ensure a more stable water supply that we provide to our consumers,” says PrimeWater management.

The new water development project involves constructing a transmission line spanning about 1 kilometer from the plant to the injection point in 2.6-million-gallon reservoir in Loygoy which will then be distributed to each household.

PrimeWater and BACIWA are committed to delivering a sustainable water supply and better water service to Bacolodnons by developing and carrying out projects that will guarantee a more dependable supply to every consumer./PN
