ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) is recruiting 300 new police officers for this year’s attrition quota.
Police Colonel Luther Lugo, chief of the PRO-6’s Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit 6 (RRSU-6), said they are now accepting applicants for new patrolmen and patrolwomen across the region.
Those interested may apply at the following:
* Iloilo City Police Office and Iloilo Police Provincial Office
* Guimaras Police Provincial Office
* Capiz Police Provincial Office
* Antique Police Provincial Office
* Aklan Police Provincial Office
* Bacolod City Police Office and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office
Applicants are advised that they must be in proper attire: white t-shirt, long pants and rubber shoes.

“This is our first recruitment this year, medyo na-delay. We have to conduct another meeting to know kung ilang babae ang papasukin pero usually 10 percent of the total quota,” Lugo told Panay News.
Meanwhile, PRO-6 director Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor reminded applicants to directly apply to the city and police provincial offices and avoid persons offering help and asking money in exchange.
“Hindi naniningil ang police sa mga applicants ng malaking pera. So iwasan ang mga tao na nag-offer ng help na makapasok,” Villaflor said
He added: “Do not be deceived by dubious persons who will promise applicants that they will surely be accepted if applicants will pay them a certain amount of money.”/PN
