ILOILO City – Anti-narcotics operatives arrested 10 suspects and confiscated P738,900 worth of illegal drugs during a 24-hour crackdown across Western Visayas.
Data from the Police Regional office 6 (PRO-6) showed that eight operations were executed between 6 a.m. on Sept. 26 and 5:59 a.m. on Sept. 27, yielding 108 grams of alleged shabu and three grams of suspected “kush” or high-grade marijuana.
Among those arrested, authorities classified two as high-value individuals and eight street-level suspects.
The Antique Police Provincial Office (PPO) recorded the largest haul after two separate operations led to the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of 69 grams of suspected shabu valued at P469,200.
The Capiz PPO arrested three suspects and seized 14 grams of suspected shabu in a single operation, while the Iloilo PPO recovered 15 grams of the same illegal substance following the arrest of one suspect.
For its part, the Iloilo City Police Office conducted three operations resulting in three arrests along with the seizure of nine grams of shabu and three grams of kush.
