ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) has apprehended 269 wanted persons during its month-long operations across Western Visayas.
Data released by PRO-6 showed that from May 22 to June 21, a total of 199 individuals facing lesser offenses and 70 priority targets classified as most wanted persons were captured.
Police Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño, director of PRO-6, noted that several police stations arrested 10 top-tier fugitives during the month of June alone.
“These accomplishments reflect PRO-6’s strengthened coordination with other agencies, effective case tracking, and sustained focused manhunt operations,” said Tuaño.
He lauded the collective efforts of the personnel across all city and provincial offices, down to the municipal police stations, for their persistence in tracking down elusive criminals.
“There is no safe ground for those who run from the law. The accounting of 269 wanted persons, including those in the most wanted lists, reflects the determination of PRO-6 to serve justice, protect our communities, and make offenders answer before the courts,” the regional director added.
Tuaño vowed that the police regional command will sustain this law enforcement momentum through discipline, integrity, and the full support of the community, highlighting that neutralizing top fugitives in eight days for the month of June alone provides a major boost to public safety.
