PRO-6 seizes P1.76M worth of ‘shabu’; 3 high-value suspects fall in Iloilo City

ILOILO City – Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) confiscated approximately 260 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,768,000 and arrested three high-value individuals in separate buy-bust operations in Mandurriao and Molo districts on June 26.

The first operation took place at around 3:45 p.m. in Barangay Navais, Mandurriao, where operatives of Iloilo City Police Station 10 arrested a 38-year-old suspects known by his aliases “Duke” and “Toto.”

The suspect, a resident of Mandurriao, is listed on the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) watchlist. Authorities executed the sting after placing him under a two-week surveillance monitoring his alleged return to illegal drug activities. Recovered from his possession were around 60 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P408,000, along with the buy-bust money.

Later that evening, at 10:35 p.m., Iloilo City Police Station 4 operatives targeted a drug line in Barangay Salvacion Habog-habog, Molo.

The operation resulted in the arrest of live-in partners identified as aliases “Lovie” and “Ken,” both residents of the district. The couple had been under police monitoring for nearly two weeks for allegedly supplying illegal drugs in Molo and nearby areas. Police confiscated about 200 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,360,000 and non-drug-related items.

Police Brigadier General Randulf T. Tuaño, PRO-6 acting director, lauded the Iloilo City Police Office for their professionalism and vowed that relentless, intelligence-driven operations would continue.

“We will relentlessly pursue those who continue to destroy lives and communities through illegal drugs, while ensuring that every police operation is carried out within the bounds of the law,” Tuaño stated.

All three suspects are currently in police custody and face criminal charges for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
