ILOILO City – Police Major Lailyn Sencil has been named as the new spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).
The 44-year-old Sencil from the PRO-6’s Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division replaced Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis effective Monday, June 30. The latter was transferred to the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).
“I’m honored to be chosen as the spokesperson for the PRO-6. It’s my first time to handle media people,” said Sencil, a Bachelor of Science in Criminology graduate from the University of Iloilo in 2009. She also holds a broadcast communication degree from the University of the Philippines Visayas.
Solis, for his part, extended his gratitude to the Iloilo media for the support during his more than one-year stint as the regional police office’s spokesperson.
“Madamo gid nga salamat sa Iloilo media sa support nga ginhatag niyo sa akon… Medyo dugay naman kita nga nag-spokesperson,” Solis said./PN
