BACOLOD City — The Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) inaugurated the newly completed Pulupandan Municipal Police Station in Pulupandan, Negros Occidental on December 15, marking a milestone in strengthening police infrastructure and enhancing public safety services in the municipality.
The inauguration and blessing ceremony was led by Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, regional director of PRO-NIR, together with Pulupandan Mayor Miguel Antonio Peña and Col. Dennis Wenceslao, provincial director of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO).
Officials said the new police station was designed as a modern, functional, and accessible facility aimed at improving operational readiness, enhancing personnel welfare, and ensuring faster and more responsive police services for residents.
The facility is also envisioned to serve as a symbol of public trust, accountability, and effective law enforcement in the community.
In his message, Ibay congratulated the men and women of the Pulupandan Municipal Police Station on the completion of the project, describing it as a significant achievement for the unit.
He emphasized that the new building reflects the Philippine National Police’s enduring commitment to public service and its shared responsibility in maintaining peace, order, and community safety.
The PRO-NIR chief expressed gratitude to Mayor Peña for the local government’s support, noting that the project underscores the strong partnership between the PNP and the Pulupandan local government unit (LGU).
He stressed that close collaboration with stakeholders strengthens police capability, improves service delivery, and reinforces the resolve to serve and protect the public with professionalism and integrity.
With the opening of the new Pulupandan Municipal Police Station, PRO-NIR reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening law enforcement, empowering police personnel, and fostering safe, secure, and resilient communities through sustained cooperation between the PNP and local governments across the Negros Island Region./PN
