AKLAN — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Aklan reported on January 30 that registration under the National ID (NID) System in the province has reached a cumulative total of 563,303 individuals as of December 31, 2025, since the program began in 2021.
In 2025 alone, 19,068 individuals were registered, exceeding the annual target of 15,430 registrants by 123.58 percent, according to PSA Aklan.
Of the total registrants, 541,005 individuals are aged five years old and above, while 22,298 are children below five years old. The agency said that 5,157 children under five were registered in 2025.
As of end-December 2025, the number of registered children below five years old represents 39.30 percent of the projected 2020 population for this age group, following the pilot registration for young children that started in 2024.
PSA Aklan said it conducted year-round registration activities across the province through fixed registration centers and mobile registration, including barangay-based activities, especially in far-flung areas, as well as registrations in schools and through house-to-house visits.
The office also prioritized the registration of unregistered Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) household beneficiaries, with 4,556 beneficiaries enrolled in 2025. In addition, 2,788 senior citizens and 86 persons with disabilities (PWDs) were registered during the year.
“These initiatives are intended to promote inclusive identification, ensure that no one is left behind, and enable all individuals to fully enjoy the benefits of having a national ID,” said Engr. Antonet B. Catubuan, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA Aklan.
The agency announced that mobile registration resumed on January 19 in various barangays across the province to accommodate individuals who are unable to visit the Fixed Registration Center (FRC).
Meanwhile, registration and other NID services continue to be available at the FRC located at the Refindor Building, Osmeña Avenue, Estancia, Kalibo.
PSA Aklan encouraged unregistered individuals to visit the FRC or monitor registration schedules posted on its official Facebook page, Philippine Statistics Authority – Aklan. For inquiries, the public may contact (036) 262-3804 or (036) 268-9217./PN
