Pump price adjustments set today

MOTORISTS can again expect either pump price rollbacks or hikes for gasoline this week, while increases are already definite for diesel and kerosene, based on the permitted range of adjustments prescribed by the Department of Energy (DOE).

Below is the permitted range of price adjustments per liter for the week starting July 6:

* gasoline: rollback of up to P1.75 or hike of up to P0.25

* diesel: hike of P1.57 to up to P3.57

* kerosene: hike of P1.70 to up to P3.70

The actual price adjustments will vary per fuel retailer, and will take effect today, July 7, 2026.

Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P1.60 to P1.90, diesel by P0.85, and kerosene by P1.20 to P1.22.

This brought year-to-date adjustments to a net increase of P45.02 per liter for gasoline, P31.56 per liter for diesel, and P28.72 per liter for kerosene as of June 30, 20. (GMA News)
