ILOILO City – Noli Diestro was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Leganes, Iloilo for allegedly selling illegal drugs.
Police caught the 42-year-old resident of Barangay Boulevard, Molo district in a buy-bust operation Tuesday.
Four plastic packs of suspected shabu were seized from Diestro at around 2:40 p.m., a police report stated.
These were on top of one sachet of the same substance he sold to an undercover officer for P500, police said.
Cash amounting to P3,000 – believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sale – was further recovered from him.
Diestro faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He was detained at the Leganes police station./PN
