BACOLOD City – The city government’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) launched an Employment Desk for persons with disabilities (PWD) yesterday at the old city hall in Barangay Villamonte.

“The Employment Desk will assist PWDs in finding jobs,” PESO head Anjo Ayco said.
The Desk provides documents and necessary information for job seeking.

The program partners with private companies that are accepting PWD employees.

Councilor Em Ang, chairwoman of the Sangguniang Panlungsod committee on social services, said she will propose an ordinance that will institutionalize the PWD Employment Desk.

“We are trying our best to make Bacolod City a PWD-friendly city,” she said.
PESO is encouraging more companies to partner with it for the PWD employment program./PN
