Region-6: DOH records 210 COVID-19 cases per day in April

The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 210 COVID-19 cases per day, from April 1 to 11, throughout Region 6.

Dr. Mary Jane Juanico, Head of the Infectious Disease Cluster of DOH-6, announced this morning in an online public conference, “In the last four months in 2021 nagsugod kita sa average 50 cases per day; nagsaka sang March for 80 cases; and sa subong, 11 days of April, ang aton daily average 210 per day, mostly in the province of Negros Occidental.”

Juanico is also considering the possibility that cases will continue to rise throughout the month.

A total of 419 cases were recorded from April 1 to 11, the highest number throughout the region since the start of the pandemic last 2020./PN
