ILOILO City – The fifth most wanted person in Western Visayas was arrested on Tuesday, November 12, in Barangay Ngingi-an, Bingawan, Iloilo, following years of evading authorities.
Police apprehended the 39-year-old suspect, known by the alias “Rud,” at 2:30 p.m. He is facing five counts of rape under Republic Act 7610, the law on the protection of women and children, including charges of rape by carnal knowledge and rape through sexual assault.
Criminal cases against him include Case Nos. 23-1601, 23-1604, and 23-1605 for rape by carnal knowledge, and Case Nos. 23-1602 and 23-1603 for sexual assault, all filed in April 2023.
Lieutenant Philipe Girao of the Bingawan police station said the alleged assaults took place when the victim was still a minor.
