BACOLOD City – The Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) in Negros Occidental sent a letter to Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson requesting the release the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) of provincial government employees.
Regular and casual employees could receive more than 60 percent of their monthly salary once the governor approves the PBB’s release, said Engr. Ruben Diamante, PACE president.
The PBB was in relation to Negros Occidental receiving the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award in 2023. The provincial government received P4 million in incentives that will be utilized for some of the province’s projects.
To note, the SGLG award is the basis before an employee from a local government unit can receive the PBB.
PACE, meanwhile, will hold its election of new officers on Jan. 27.
PACE has a total of 2,227 members.
Diamante, who is running for board of director, said PACE has not stopped advocating for proper benefits for their colleagues. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
