BACOLOD City – Festival coordinators have imposed an entry restriction at the Paglaum Sports Complex for the much-anticipated MassKara Arena Competition slated for Oct. 22.
Out of the potential capacity of approximately 5,000 attendees at the Paglaum Sports Complex, which falls under the administration of the Negros Occidental provincial government, only 4,500 will gain admission.
The ticket distribution process involves allocating them to the 61 barangays of Bacolod City.
Mate Espina, representing the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation, said the foundation is acting in accordance with directives from the provincial government.
“The distribution strategy for the 4,000 tickets is on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis. However, we’ve set aside around 400 seats specifically for the city’s visitors,” said Espina.
The event will also feature MassKara dancers showcasing their skills not just at the arena but also in a parade and street dance.
The procession will commence from the Bacolod City Government Center replica situated on Gonzaga-Araneta streets and will conclude at Paglaum.
The barangays participating in this festivity include Granada, Sum-ag, Tangub, 34, Vista Alegre, Mansilingan, Handumanan, Cabug, 21, and 40./PN
