BACOLOD City – Two persons died in a
road accident on the national highway in Barangay Dancalan, Ilog, Negros
Occidental.
Truck driver Michael Castillo and his helper Nico Along died of body injuries,
a police report showed.
According to police investigators,
Castillo lost control of his driven truck after its back tire burst and hit
another truck driven by 48-year-old Jesmilo Godinez of Barangay 2, Ilog around
7:20 a.m. on April 21.
The victims were rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco
District Hospital in Kabankalan City where the attending physician declared
them “dead on arrival.”
Godinez, meanwhile, was brought to the Ilog municipal police station./PN
