This was Vice President Leni Robredo’s question a day after she was sacked from her post as co-chair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) – a job she only held for 19 days.

The opposition stalwart questioned the motives behind her firing and such undermining of her capabilities fuels her to do more during a press conference in her home province of Camarines Sur on Monday.

She recalled her three-week tenure as ICAD co-chair, saying she experienced cold treatment from her co-workers and even received tirades about her capability to lead the war on drugs.

Walang tigil ang pagbatikos. Mahina raw ako sa krimen. Huwag daw ako makialam sa pulis. Hindi raw ako mapagkakatiwalaan. Pinagtulungan at pinagkaisahan ako para hindi magtagumpay,” she said.

Despite her termination, Robredo vowed that her work against the country’s drug problem would still continue.

Nagsisimula pa lang ako,” she stressed.
