ROXAS City – Emergency responders in this city are ready for the expected influx of people in cemeteries visiting their departed loved ones on All Saints’ and All Souls’ days on November 1 and 2, respectively.

On Wednesday afternoon, October 30, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) conducted a pre-deployment briefing before the deployment of emergency responders to various cemeteries in the city.

Among those who attended the briefing were personnel of the Roxas City Police Station headed by Lieutenant Colonel Joey Lidawan, Bureau of Fire Protection, Traffic Management Unit, Philippine Red Cross, Philippine Coast Guard, City Health Office, Capiz Emergency Response Team, barangay officials, and representatives from barangays Cagay, Banica, Loctugan, Mongpong, and Barangay 1.

The CDRRMO said emergency responders will ensure the security of those visiting the cemeteries as well as manage the traffic flow.

Prior to this, the Roxas City Groundskeeper and Clean-up Crew headed by Joel Daria helped clean the Banica Public Cemetery in preparation for “Fiesta Minatay.”/PN
