ROXAS City – The city government conducted an inventory of its available oxygen tanks and purchased more for the use of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVId-19) patients.
There have been reports of COVID-19 patients dying due to the dearth in medical oxygen supply.
“Indi ako magpasugot nga may isa pa ka taga-Roxas City nga mapatay tungod sa kakulang sang oxygen,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
The city government is prepositioning oxygen tanks in barangays.
“May ara kita oxygen tanks sa city government. (But) nag-order pa gid kita dugang nga oxygen tanks kag regulators. Ang mga barangay may ara naman available oxygen tanks nga aton advance ginpa–preparar sa ila sang nagligad nga mga binulan,” Dadivas said.
Those who can avail themselves of medical oxygen from the city government are COVID-19 patients (mild, moderate to severe) in Roxas City confined at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital, and COVID-19 patients on home quarantine./PN
