ROXAS City – Two separate drug buy-bust operations led to the arrest of three suspects in this capital city on Tuesday.

One of the suspects was identified as Barangay Culasi resident Julius Anisco.

Anisco was caught after selling suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P1,000 in Barangay Baybay.

Officers from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) led by Senior Inspector Hilbert Gervero staged the sting operation, which resulted to the confiscation of four sachets of suspected shabu.

Later that day, PDEU personnel also arrested two drug suspects – the 44-year-old Antonio Garche and 27-year-old Josefino Bacalangco – in an abandoned house in Barangay Barra.

Ginagamit nila ang abandonado nga balay para sa pot sessions,” said Gervero.

Bacalangco is a resident of Barangay Barra while Garche, of Barangay 2, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, Gervero added.

Recovered from the two suspects were five sachets of suspected shabu estimated to be worth P40,000.

Anisco, Garche and Bacalangco were detained at the Roxas City police station lockup facility.

They were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
