ILOILO City – Four schools reached the semifinals of the 2019 ILOPRISAA Meet secondary boys basketball after toppling their quarterfinals foes at the University of San Agustin Gym here.
Defending champion University of San Agustin barged into the Final Four with a 78-65 win over Sun Yat Sen High School on Monday.
Agapito Clarito tallied 21 points while JM Delos Santos added 14 for SanAg.
Hua Siong College of Iloilo Red Phoenix also made it to the next round via a 106-51 win over Iloilo Sacred Heart.
Dave Bagatnan tallied 17 markers for the Red Phoenix.
Sta. Clarita International School Primes, meanwhile, also made it to the next round by hacking out a 103-63 win over PAREF Westbridge.
Michael Jayme and John Lipata had 12 points each for the Primes.
Completing the semifinals casts was St. Robert’s International Academy Panda Rockets, which defeated Central Philippine University, 91-45.
Oscar Jacinto and Gwyn Pendon had 18 points each for the winning Panda Rockets.
The semifinals is set this afternoon with San Ag taking on the Primes at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Red Phoenix-Panda Rockets battle at 4 p.m./PN
