San Carlos drug op nets P120T ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – A drug entrapment operation led to the recovery of suspected shabu estimated to be worth some P120,000 in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

The suspected drugs weighing about 10 grams contained in five plastic sachets were confiscated from the 41-year-old Barangay 6 resident Joseph Pasigay, a police report showed.

Pasigay was caught around 1:40 p.m. on Oct. 7 after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer at Ylagan Extension.

Joint personnel from the San Carlos City police station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency staged the sting operation.

Aside from the suspected drugs, a coin pouch and P1,500 cash were seized from Pasigay, the report stated.

Pasigay was detained at the San Carlos City police station lockup facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
