ANTIQUE- Starting April 1 to April 15, the towns of San Jose de Buenavista and Sebaste in the province of Antique have been placed under Alert Level System 1 after meeting the amended metrics for de-escalation set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Here are the guidelines.
* At least 70 percent of the target population has been fully vaccinated
* At least 70 percent of the target senior citizens population has been fully vaccinated
* The city or town must belong to a region or province with low-risk (less than 50 percent) total bed utilization rate
San Jose and Sebaste are the only two towns out of 18 towns in Antique that will be under Alert Level 1 while the remaining towns such as Anini-y, Bugasong, Caluya, Hamtic, Laua-an, San Remigio, Sibalom, Tobias Fornier, Valderrama, Barbaza, Belison, Culasi, Libertad, Pandan, Patnongon, and Tibiao remains in Alert Level 2.
Based on data from the Antique Provincial Health Office (APHO), San Jose has only one active case while Sebaste has zero active cases or no active cases.
When it comes to vaccination coverage, San Jose vaccinated 56,152 individuals or 105 percent out of the 80 percent target population of 53,535 and reached 51,441 individuals or 96 percent fully vaccinated.
As for Sebaste, 11,486 individuals or 75 percent received the first dose out of 80 percent target population of 15,330 while 10,794 individuals or 70 percent were fully vaccinated.
Under Alert Level 1, which is described by the Department of Health as the new normal, intrazonal and interzonal travel are allowed regardless of age and comorbidities.
All establishments, persons or activities are permitted to operate, work, or be done at full onsite capacity, provided that health standards are observed.
In person or “face-to-face” classes for basic education will be subject to the approval of the Office of the President./PN
