The camp of Sandara Park denied the accusation of her 2NE1 bandmate Park Bom that she used drugs, saying the allegations made against her are “groundless.”
Bom and Sandara have been making headlines after the “You and I” singer claimed in a now-deleted Instagram post that she was used as a scapegoat for the latter’s alleged drug abuse.
In response to the claims, a source close to Sandara said the allegations are “groundless,” although she’s worried about her bandmate, according to an E Daily report.
“Sandara Park is currently concerned about Park Bom’s health,” the report said.
Aside from claiming that she was used as a cover-up for Sandara’s alleged drug abuse, Bom explained that she dropped the bombshell claim as a way to ease her “crying soul.”
The “Spring” singer also urged her 2NE1 bandmate CL and YG Entertainment not to report her use of Adderall to authorities.
In 2010, Bom was accused of importing 82 pills of Adderall, which is highly regulated in South Korea due to its amphetamine content. The case was eventually dropped without charges, since the singer clarified that the drug is used to treat her Attention Deficit Disorder.
Citing her 2010 ordeal, Bom further claimed that her incident was used as a scapegoat to cover up Sandara’s usage of drugs.
“To the citizens online, I sincerely ask that you please investigate the facts as they are. And lastly, what I truly want to say is this: YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun-suk, Teddy Park, and Lee Chae-rin [CL], please do not report to the authorities that [I] used more than the prescribed amount of a drug that you yourselves have not used even once in 30 years,” she said.
Bom and Dara debuted as members of the K-pop girl group 2NE1 along with CL and Minzy. The former is currently on indefinite hiatus due to health concerns. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
