BACOLOD City – A seafarer drowned in a beach in Barangay Miranda, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
Helry Gamilong, 39, was a resident of Barangay Guinturilan, San Enrique, Negros Occidental.
He went swimming with his friends around 2:33 p.m. on Oct.10 but moved farther from shore and was confronted by turbulent waves.
He was rushed to the Rural Health Unit but was declared dead on arrival./PN
