GUIMARAS – At least 36 local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in this island province completed a four-day intensive growth program aimed at enhancing business competitiveness and digital transformation.
The Small Enterprise Growth Agenda (SEAL-SEGA) program, held from March 24 to 27 at The Pitstop Innova Hotel and Resorts in Jordan town, was a joint initiative of the Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA), BPI Foundation, the Provincial Government of Guimaras, and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The training focused on business development, marketing strategies, and operational improvements for newly registered enterprises. As part of the program’s competitive component, 33 participants joined a Business Pitch segment.
The top 20 participants were awarded grants to fund their business expansions and were provided access to additional financing opportunities.
An accompanying Trade Fair featuring 38 MSMEs showcased local food, agricultural goods, and tourism-related products. The four-day event generated P106,261 in total sales.
The program concluded with a graduation ceremony, signaling the participants’ transition toward more sustainable and market-ready operations.
