Security guard yields ‘shabu’

ILOILO City – Police apprehended a security guard following an antidrug operation in Barangay Sto. Niño Norte, Arevalo.

Suspect Mark Garganera, a 30-year-old resident of Sibunag, Guimaras, temporarily resided in La Paz district.

He handed a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer in exchange for P2,000 at 9:50 p.m. on Nov. 8.

Police recovered six more plastic sachets. All weighed around 1.2 grams and valued at P8,160.

Captain Mavin Laraño, officer-in-charge of Arevalo police, said the suspect was allegedly engaging in drug-selling activities in Iloilo City and Antique province.

Garganera, currently detained at the Arevalo Police Station, will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
