ILOILO City – A senior citizen got burned to death in Barangay Agahon, Passi City, Iloilo.
The 64-year-old Rosie Huenda died after their house caught fire, a police report showed.
According to police investigation, Rosie and her husband Daniel were having a drinking session when Daniel asked permission from his wife to sleep ahead.
Rosie slept afterwards, police said.
But later Daniel woke up and saw fire in their terrace prompting him to awaken his wife around 8 p.m. on July 14.
Rosie, however, refused to follow her husband, the police added.
Police have yet to determine the cause of fire but the total damage to properties has reached P13,500./PN
