ILOILO City – Suspected shabu and marijuana leaves were seized in a police operation in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
The buy-bust at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday in Barangay Tabuc Suba resulted in the arrest of Mathew Tyrone Panaguiton.
Panaguiton sold to undercover officers a sachet of suspected shabu for P500.
Four more plastic packs of the same substance and six plastic packs of suspected marijuana leaves were further seized from him, a police report stated.
Panaguiton, a 41-year-old resident of Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Barotac Nuevo, was detained at the municipal police station.
The suspect faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
