ILOILO – While conducting a checkpoint operation along the national highway in Barangay Cano-an, Estancia, Iloilo, a 22-year-old man was arrested.
The suspect, who went by the alias “Al,” was apprehended by the barangay officials and police officers of Estancia town after a failed attempt to evade the checkpoint at approximately 1:20 a.m. yesterday, Feb. 7.
When the police frisked him, four plastic sachets containing suspected shabu were recovered. The illegal substance weighed more or less 15 grams, with a standard drug price of P102,000.
“Al” is being held at the Estancia Municipal Police Station for proper disposition./PN
