‘Shabu’ sends Aklan local to jail

KALIBO, Aklan – Police arrested a drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Numancia, Aklan.

Suspected shabu weighing around one gram was seized from Omar Bacuta of Barangay Dongon East, Numancia, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Western Visayas.

Bacuta was nabbed after he sold suspected illegal drugs to an undercover officer around 3 p.m. on Jan. 18, it said.

The suspect was detained and charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.(With a report from PDEA-6/PN)
