CAPIZ – A woman died in a shooting incident in Sitio Agumawa, Barangay Bongbongan, Maayon, Capiz.
Glory Bansagan, 36, was declared dead upon arrival at the local hospital around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, while her live-in partner Jioren Ayo, 25, is currently being treated for a gunshot wound on the stomach.
The suspect was 30-year-old Rene Boy Soberano. All were residents of the village.
Police said, based on initial eyewitness accounts, the three were in a heated confrontation before the shooting.
Soberano remains at large as of this writing, while the Maayon municipal police have already initiated a hot pursuit./PN
