ILOILO City – In Barangay Sta. Rita, Maasin, Iloilo, a village watchman was wounded in a shooting incident, a police report showed.
The 46-year-old resident Ruel Mansiba sustained a gunshot wound on the neck, the report added.
Mansiba was brought to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao for treatment.
Police identified the suspect as Ruel’s 32-year-old brother Dennis.
According to police investigation, Ruel cautioned Dennis of the latter’s alleged affair with another woman.
A heated argument ensued between them which prompted Dennis to shoot Ruel around 9:20 p.m. on July 7.
Dennis was detained in the lockup cell of the Maasin police station./PN
