SIBALOM, Antique – A 25-year-old job order employee in this municipality was shot to death on his way to work on Thursday morning in Barangay Salvacion.
Vernel Mondreal was a staff of the Sibalom Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and a resident of Barangay Igpanulong.
He was driving a motorcycle to work when ambushed by unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen.
Mondreal sustained at least seven gunshot wounds.
His body was brought to a funeral parlor for autopsy.
The Sibalom police station launched an investigation. No suspects have so far been named./PN
