Silay drug ops net P220-T ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu estimated to be worth P220,000 was confiscated from five drug suspects arrested in two separate police operations in Silay City, Negros Occidental last Thursday.

Silay City police head Superintendent Noel Polines identified four of the suspects as Rudy Alterado Jr., Hilmar Bitoon, Renato Carisma, and Jimmy Senayo.

The four suspects were caught around 4:50 p.m.  at Villa Hergon in Barangay Rizal, a police report showed.

Recovered from their possession were 14 sachets of suspected shabu including the buy-bust item and the P500 marked money.

Police estimated the value of the seized suspected drugs at P200,000.

On the other hand, the fifth drug suspect was arrested at 4:53 p.m. in Purok Kahilwayan, Barangay 2.

He was identified as the 21-year-old Bernardo Arturo.

Recovered from Arturo was suspected shabu worth about P20,000.

The five suspects were detained at the Silay City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
