ILOILO City – His threat to hurt her was enough for a woman from Barrio Obrero, Lapuz to send her brother to jail.
Ferle Aldaba-Rosaldo, 68, placed under citizen arrest Monico Aldaba, 57, at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Rosaldo reported to the police that Aldaba chased her with a knife.
She and her drunken brother had a heated argument at around 7 p.m. that prompted the latter to head to their kitchen and grab the weapon, Rosaldo told the police.
His nephew saw him armed with the knife and grappled with him but Aldaba managed to free himself and charged at Rosaldo, the sister claimed.
Rosaldo arrested Aldaba with the help of police officers and sent him to the La Paz police station.
While the dispute was referred to the barangay lupon, Aldaba was hauled to the station’s custodial facility./PN
