Son of Roxas traffic mgt head falls in drug bust

ROXAS City – The son of this capital city’s Traffic Management Unit (TMU) head was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Lawaan.

Elements of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led by Senior Inspector Hilbert Gervero caught the 28-year-old John Mark Hervias after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 on Monday.

Hervias, a street-level drug target, is the son of TMU head and now retired police officer Junie June Hervias.

Recovered from Hervias’ possession were 14 sachets of suspected shabu, a .38-caliber revolver loaded with five bullets and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Junie June said he does not tolerate the drug activities of his son.

Siguro wala man sang ginikanan nga gusto maglain ang iya kabataan.

Gervero said they already got the names of individuals who supply Hervias with shabu.

Hervias was detained at the Roxas City police station lockup facility.

He will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
