ILOILO City – In a hospital was where a resident of Calinog, Iloilo landed after getting stabbed.
The 29-year-old Nonito Lilia was attacked by a neighbor apparently out for revenge, a police report showed.
Lilia allegedly struck the father of Randy Balana, 20, with a stone on the forehead and chin, police said, citing investigation.
Lilia and Balana were residents of Barangay Carvasana, Calinog where the incident happened at around 9:50 p.m. on April 21.
In response, Balana grabbed a knife from the possession of Lilia and stabbed the latter three times on the back, police said.
Lilia was taken to the Calinog District Hospital but later transferred to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
The Calinog police arrested and took custody of Balana but were unable to recover the weapon./PN
