Bacolod City – A man was stabbed in Barangay Vista Alegre.
The 43-year-old resident Damasino Mahinay sustained a stab wound on the back, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old resident Jerson Lumangyao.
According to police investigators, Mahinay and Lumangyao were having a drinking session when a heated argument ensued between them on Dec. 1.
Mahinay punched Lumangyao, the report added.
This prompted Lumangyao to stab Mahinay, police said.
Mahinay was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here for treatment.
Officers of Police Station 7 conducted a manhunt operation against Lumangyao, who fled after the incident./PN
