ILOILO City – A 43-year-old man landed in a hospital after he was stabbed in Barangay Tagbak, Jaro district.
Resident Salvador Honrade sustained a stab wound on the neck, a police report showed.
He received treatment at the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Lapaz.
The suspect was identified as 43-year-old Allan Descasota of New Lucena, Iloilo, the report added.
According to police investigators, Honrade and Descasota were playing pusoy when a heated argument ensued between them around 11:30 p.m. on June 30.
This prompted Descasota to stab Honrade using a bladed weapon, police said.
Descasota tried to escape but was mobbed by the residents.
He sustained wounds on the head and was also brought to the hospital for treatment./PN
