ALL eyes and ears were on President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s first State of the Nation Address yesterday afternoon.

But as much as we were looking forward to the change within the nation, our attention was also glued to the much anticipated SONA red carpet, and even the opening of the 19th Congress yesterday morning.

In past SONAs and Congress openings, the red carpet at the Batasang Pambansa building was a virtual fashion runway that showcased expensive and intricately designed clothes.

This year, we take a look at how the gentlemen – who mostly stayed on the safe, traditional side by wearing Barong Tagalog – and women of consequence spruced themselves up./PN
