BACOLOD City – Three stolen fighting cocks were recovered by the authorities in Barangay San Juan, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
Businessman Lorenzo Atienza, 50, reported that his fighting cocks were stolen around 10:30 a.m. on May 1.
Punong Barangay Noemi Camacho informed Lamela she saw an unidentified person concealing fighting cocks inside an abandoned nipa hut.
Police later named the suspect Mark Vallejo, 23, a laborer and a resident of Barangay Tampalon, Kabankalan, Negros Occidental.
Vallejo was detained at the local police station./PN
