AKLAN – A fire incident that razed a storage room of a mosque, a place of worship for Muslims, in Barangay Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan baffles arson investigators.

Based on the preliminary investigation by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), there were no plugged electrical appliances in the storage room.

The BFP-Kalibo received the fire call at approximately 12 noon on Sunday, Feb. 18.

The estimated cost of property damage is pegged at P135,000.

No injuries were reported.

Further investigation into the source of the blaze is ongoing./PN
