ILOILO City – Suspected thieves have been arrested in Kalibo, Aklan at around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Glenn Alvin Orille, 43, and wife Maria Evelen were linked to a series of thieveries in Kalibo, the latest of which occurred on corner M. Laserna-L. Barrios streets, a police report showed.

Officers caught them near the Kalibo bridge after receiving information about a “fleeing” gray Foton van, the report stated.

According to the police, the couple were residents of Benguet province.

Police recovered the following from the suspects: five identification cards, 16 watches, two boxes containing assorted jewelry, a pair of binoculars, five pouches of assorted items, six passports, seven laptops with chargers, nine pairs of shoes, four cameras, five cellphones, and a tablet computer.

The suspects were detained at the Kalibo police station. Investigation into the incident continues./PN
