GUIMARAS – The Mango Eat-All-You-Can attracts mango lovers of all ages, making it one of the sought-after activities of this island province’s annual Manggahan Festival.
For this year’s edition of the festival, the Guimaras Provincial Government has tripled the number of days – making it 12 days from last year’s four – for more visitors to take part and enjoy the Mango Eat-All-You-Can.
Provincial Agriculturist Alvin Nava said the province has also prepared 20 tons of mangoes for the activity slated on May 3 to 5, 10 to 12, and 17 to 22 at the provincial capitol grounds.
For just P100 registration fee, one can consume an unlimited number of the renowned Guimaras mangoes for 30 minutes.
Nava shared that in the previous years, they had a guest from Mindanao who consumed around 11 to 12 kilos in 30 minutes. For local guests in Western Visayas, the highest was six to seven kilos./PN
