ROXAS City – A junior high school student from Barangay Tanque won an on-the-spot T-shirt painting competition whose theme was about President Rodrigo Duterte’s push for a three-child policy.
The Commission on Population (PopCom), which organized the contest, is advocating the President’s planned policy.
Claer Abegael Donguines of Tanque National High School bagged first place.
PopCom-Roxas City chief Virgie Arcenas-Azarcon gave her a plaque and cash prize for her winning piece that showed the theme “Achieve: Wastong Bilang ng Pamilya.”
Vanessa Andrade won second place, while Nicko Angelo Francisco landed on third place.
“Through art, we are encouraging parents to consider the three-child policy of our government,” said Azarcon. “This will help secure a bright future for Filipino families.”
The contest, held on Nov. 29 at the city hall lobby here, was part of PopCom’s Population and Development Week celebration./PN
