ILOILO City – A taxi hit a woman crossing the highway in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district, a police report showed.
The 34-year-old Johnna Ann Gabili of Zarraga, Iloilo sustained injuries on the body. She was confined at Qualimed Hospital.
The incident happened at around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police identified the Julix taxi driver as 28-year-old Jessie Peñalosa of Duran, City Proper.
Peñalosa was detained at the Mandurriao police station custodial facility./PN
