The Thunderbolts clinched the crown in elementary boys after a 78-36 domination over the Bacolod City team in the final round on Friday at the STI-West Negros University gym.

Leading the way for the Thunderbolts were Ronn Audrei Bedonia, Cesar Alexander Dingcong, Vince Hugo, Carl Justine Jalea, Burj Gabriel Lapo-us, and Dave Matthew Recodo.

Other Thunderbolts players were Kian James Ramos, Phillipe Sison, Toni Siglos, Emmanuel Salvio, Arturo Teruel, and Luke Zapata.

In secondary boys 3×3, the Thunderbolts team of Andy John Villamer, Ralph Cagalawan, Rommel Hechanova Jr., and Kent Dustin Esparagoza completed their romp with a 21-12 win over Himamaylan National High School in the finals.

The Dexter Dy-mentored team walloped its elimination opponents Silay City (21-3) and La Carlota (21-15) before its default victories over Calatrava and ANOPSSCI.

In the semifinal round, the Thunderbolts – the back-to-back Provincial Meet 3×3 champion – easily handled the Bacolod City representatives 21-7 to reach the final round.

“I am happy that we were able to win as champions [again] in the Meet despite sending a new team,” said Dy, who only had Villamer as remnant of last year’s champion squad./PN
